RS Cockerill supply potatoes to the discount retailers and foodservice industry. We are looking for experienced Shunter, Forklift Truck Driver to operate from our base at Dunnington, just East of York.
Job role
Reporting to the Intake, Despatch Manager, you will be required to:
- Manage the safe movement of trailers from the intake and despatch yards.
- Using Diesel & Electric Counterbalance Fork lift Trucks to work outside and inside loading/unloading trailers
Job requirements
Candidates will be expected to possess:
- Good level of communication skills, with the ability to understand and share verbal instruction in English.
- Shunter or C+E licence.
- Forklift truck experience is essential.
- Computer literate advantageous.
- Possess good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Show full co-operation and awareness of company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Have a positive and enthusiastic ‘can do ‘attitude.
- Ensure that all company policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Access to own transport due to location

- Shift start time 06:00 hours.
- Hourly paid (weekly), rate £13.87 with excellent earning potential.
